Incorrect Data on Signals


Recently, we came across an issue that the self-citation number of the article [1] is incorrect on Singals, a tool for evaluating academic articles.

Signals shows that article [1] has 13 self-citations (34% of the total references on the article). However, article [1] has 17 references (38% of the total references) to Stephen G. Compton, one of the authors.

The reason(s) caused this issue is not known yet. The 5GH team is communicating with the Signals team about this matter.

Abnormal Reference Patterns on Special Issue "Geomicrobiology: Latest Advances and Prospects"

An Investigation by the 5GH Team reveals that the articles published on the Special Issue "Geomicrobiology: Latest Advances and Prospects" have high proportions of references to Cesareo Saiz-Jimenez, one of the special issue's guest editors, suggesting potential misconduct by Saiz-Jimenez to promote his citations with his editorial role on the special issue.


Weird Ramam Spectra on 10.1016/j.ceramint.2024.05.078

Employees from BYHEALTH Got Publication without "Author Contributions"

Two employees with the BYHEALTH (汤臣倍健) Institute of Nutrition & Health, Xuguang Zhang and Ruikun He, were listed as co-authors for the article [1], however, their contributions were not disclosed on the Author Contribution section, raising concerns on their authorship to this article.
