An Author Is Selling His Articles Submitted to "Journal of Positive Psychology"
Recently, an author is selling his article on RedNote, a Chinese social media. An undercover operation by the 5GH team release more details.
The author, whose Rednote ID is gengenjiujiu, posted an advertisement on the social media on July 9th, claimed that he had an article, which was accepted by the journal on July 5th, and want to offer the position of the first author.
An investigator from the 5GH Team reached out to the RedNote user, and asked for some details about the article. The seller then claimed that the article is currently submitted to "Journal of Positive Psychology", and he provided the Chinese version of the title and the abstract.

Abstract (in Chinese): 抑郁症是心理和社会适应能力的重要指标，与成瘾行为有着密切的联系。研究表明，手机成瘾尤其增加了抑郁症的风险。本研究提出，社交焦虑和对负面情绪刺激的注意力偏向是关键的媒介因素。通过两项研究(研究1:N=545名大学生，采用调查量表;研究2:N=51名大学生，完成问卷并执行点探测任务以评估注意力偏向)，我们检验了这些媒介路径。分析结果显示:手机成瘾、社交焦虑和抑郁之间存在显著的正相关;社交焦虑完全中介了手机成瘾对抑郁的影响;社交焦虑和负性情绪信息的注意偏向依次中介了手机成瘾与抑郁之间的关系。值得注意的是，单纯的注意偏向并未起到显著的中介作用。因此，手机成瘾影响郁主要通过两个途径:直接通过社交焦虑，以及间接通过一连串的社交焦虑导致对负性信息的注意偏向增加。这项研究加深了/们对手机成瘾如何影响心理健康问题的理解，特别强调了社交焦虑和负性注意偏向作为关键的干预目标。它表明，通过调整这些认知偏见，可能为治疗与问题性手机使用相关的抑郁症提供新的途径。

The 5GH Team believed that the above-mentioned information is useful and sufficient for the publisher/journal to identify the author and the manuscript, and ended the operation in the morning of July 12th. The under-covered operation was approved by the founding partner and another senior partner of the 5GH Foundation, and the approval was also obtained from the Institutional Review Board of the 5GH Team before the founding partner gave green light to the investigator.
Detailed information will be shared with the journal/publisher for further investigation. The 5GH Team urges the journal/publisher to take appropriate reactions to prevent the manuscript to be submitted to other journals.
